Northwest Sherpa Association is a non-profit organization, established in Seattle Washington in the year of 2003. It is a tax-exempt charitable organization under the section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

Our Mission:

The mission of Northwest Sherpa Association is to preserve and promote Sherpa language, tradition, culture and unite all the Sherpas residing in the Pacific Northwest of the United States of America including Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and Vancouver B.C, Canada.

Our objectives:

1. Create platform for the members of the NWSA to promote cultural and ethnic heritage

2. Educate younger generation about the Sherpa culture and tradition through active participation in various events

3. Create network and resources for the new immigrants to ease their transition to a new place

3. To promote cultural interaction among different cultural components within the country and abroad for mutual understanding and enrichment

4. Build a community center
